Senior Account Executive

ThingTech was founded in 2014 and is a leading provider of IoT solutions for industry and government. We are seeking a high energy, goal oriented individual with a proven track record exceeding quota within the commercial sector. The successful individual will have demonstrated success building, managing, and closing a pipeline of medium to large commercial opportunities. In addition, the successful candidate will have broad experience negotiating pricing, contracts as well as managing initial proofs of concept.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the full lifecycle for customer engagements (prospecting>qualification>close>handoff)
  • Strategically engage the market to generate qualified prospects as well as develop qualified leads from sales development representatives
  • Target accountss with 50+ assets (vehicles, trailers, tractors, heavy industriral, etc.) includnig with Fortune 1000 size entities
  • Develop forecasts for hardware and services for each client and secure monthly/quarterly commitments

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience (full lifecycle)
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota
  • Experience selling SaaS based solutions
  • Prior experience managing and closing commercial/industrial mid to large opportunities
  • Deep understanding of a sales development representative model
  • Comfortable in a high-growth, fast changing environment
  • Team player with superb prospecting, negotiation and closing skills

Senior UI Engineer

ThingTech is looking for a Senior UI Engineer with deep React experience to lead front-end development on our RealTime SaaS platform. Our ideal candidate is process-driven, user-focused, and passionate about delivering exciting digital experiences. You have spent years honing your craft but are not afraid to dive in and figure out new ways of solving the unique challenges that our team often faces. You bring a positive attitude and are always looking at opportunities for improvement.

What you’ll do:

  • Create the user-facing functionality that makes our precision asset management solutions easy-to-learn and easy-to-use—giving our organization the ability to deliver value promised
  • Maintain current code health of the platform
  • Work closely with product management and solutions managers to translate technical requirements and designs into exciting user experiences
  • Maintain a set of reusable libraries/components
  • Apply your experience to work with the rest of the team on everything from engineering process to platform architecture
  • Partner with product management/designers to understand user needs.
  • Provide code review and mentorship to other engineers
  • Contribute to sprint planning and work with product managers to plan features for release

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years experience as JavaScript developer
  • 2+ years building applications with ReactJS (including hooks and Redux)
  • Experience with JavaScript build tools and dependency management (yarn, Webpack preferred)
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and websockets
  • A strong command of CSS/SASS, including responsive design techniques
  • Production experience with data visualization and charting tools like HiCharts, D3, etc.
  • Proven ability to ship features quickly, with a knack for connecting back-end technology to users in an inviting way

Bonus Points:

  • Server side Javascript with NodeJS
  • AWS Lambda
  • Relational databases (Postgres and Redshift)
  • Typescript
